Need tech talent? You’ve come to the right place. We’ve got oodles and oodles of wicked-smahht kids using their noodles. Savannah’s got almost 50,000 students within a 45 mile radius of the city and large part of them are getting their learn on in technology-related fields.

Georgia Institute of Technology (GTS)

Atlanta is not the only place for a high-tech education in Georgia. The Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the nation’s top research universities, and since 2003 they decided to call Savannah (one of their) home(s). With undergraduate and graduate programs in civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, and mechanical engineering, Georgia Tech Savannah students have technology buzzing through their brains.

Georgia Southern University (GSU)

The second largest university in Georgia lives right next door to Savannah. A 30-minute drive away, there are more than 20,000 students – many of which are enrolled in the new College of Information Technology (CIT). CIT consists of three academic departments, including the Computer Sciences Department, the Information Systems Department and the Information Technology Department. Opened as a $33 million state-of-the-art facility 2003, CIT has been cranking out hi-skilled graduates for the past 4 years.

Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU)

A local talent powerhouse, AASU’s School of Computing’s 3 academic departments, the Computer Sciences Department, the Information Technology Department and the Engineering Studies Department have been feeding Savannah’s high-tech industry for the past several years. Needless to say, if you need a geek, they’ve got ‘em. The government contractor ProLogic has even recently opened an office at AASU’s Cyber and Homeland Security Institute, where it will develop technology for government and civilian clients.
